Well it hasn't started yet(can not wait). A trailer has been released though.
Watched it several times already and i still really love seeing Matt Smith. The only thing i am wondering about is the weeping angels. How are they going to explain that they are back.

Well first getting this of my chest .. the new logo is fugly. Also funny when the trailer was posted on other websites people were yelling it was full spoilers. Seeing as most is from eps 1 (and 2) it isn't as spoilerish as people thought.
Ok eps. Very interesting. Specially now the daleks minds have been wiped from all knowledge of the doctor. Although i kind of figured out Oswin's plot twist early on, there was not really any indication that she wasn't what she turned out to be.

Well this is a spoiler topic after all ....
In british newspapers ...Oswin's actress has been confirmed as the next dr companion ...she said 'remember me' as her last line ...so her actress could possibly play a companion ...as bbc have re-used actors before ....(as Amy was a priestess of the fire demons in donna nobles series)
But I really enjoyed this episode tbh, ...I loved the dalek people, they looked hilarious

Haven't seen that eps(when i set up to record older eps from the scifi channel it screwed up that eps). It is weird to pick her as next companion since her role in this eps was/is rather big. Although she will probably play a different character it still will be a bit weird.
I am more interested in eps with the weeping angels. I mean due to them falling in that time/space crack those never existed in the world. There are at least 4 in quantum-lock freezing state after the tardis disappeared when the angels surrounded it.
Somehow Daleks always creep the hell out of me.
Well dinosaurs on a spaceship next week.
btw watching the boxset of the reboot i recently got. I must say Eccleston is a bit of an angry doctor >.<

Yeah I actually didnt like Eccleston ...he wasn't 'human' which is always the doctors ambition.
I also think it will be really wierd for Oswins actress to play another large role ..but still not be her original character ...obviously they will be linked but ..it'll be confusing ...Amy's actress when playing as a fire priestess ...had no dialogue...so that wasn't as bad.
Dino's bore me ...so next week will be meh for me...I cant wait to see how the Ponds leave ...it better be emotional !

It was different with Amy, she was such a small character in the Pompeii episode you wouldn't recognise her. The companion's name is Clara Oswin so it HAS to be the same character somehow...

Yep, well someone on another forum had a suggestion like this. He will pick her up before she asylum crash landing happens(since doctor who won't have a dalek companion like ever) by that he either gets her back in "time" to make her on the ship that crashes or retconning the whole eps and by that removing the fact that the doctor has been wiped from the memory bank.

I heard that the Xmas special is set in 1890s London, and that's when he meets her... interesting to see how it'll work out. That theory sounds pretty good, though knowing Steven Moffatt it'll be something ridiculous!

I know we have a chat topic for doctor who i think i will use this for comments on the new eps since if you have not seen it yet you can avoid being spoilered by ignoring this topic.
I really really enjoyed this eps. With the two bickering/complaining robots, the stegosaur that acts like a dog(can not help but find the idea of a large animal playing fetch funny). I was hoping on something like a dinoriders scene and i got it. Rory's father was scripted in a nice and funny way.
A few remarks though. Those robots are fekking lousy shots (as proven by the dino chase). A lot of characters helping it is a bit difficult to give all of them enough screentime(although i think the reps did it's best). On a personal note i was disapointed the Surilians are only mentioned more or less by name and not really shown(I do not count that vid of one).
I am happy they ditched the fugly logo from eps 1 but since they now used 2 logo's in 2 eps i think every ep will have a different logo

Mitchell and Webb robots, wahey! Mr Weasley on a triceratops! Well Solomon said the robots were cheap, and they were clearly slow, so maybe they were just meant to be bad all round? Wait, they changed the logo between those two episodes? Also, I'll edit the other thread so it says no spoilers.

I didnt really like yesterdays episode, only the bits possibly foreshadowing Amy and Rory's depature (aka her talking to the doctor and saying that they'll be there when the other ones dead)

From what I've read, and from the fact that the visits from the Doctor are more and more widely spaced, I reckon one day he'll come back and decades will have passed, and they'll be too old.

Well it is a tardis and not a deLorean with a fluxcompasitor(The doctor thought he was back in 12 hours with Rose what turned out to be 12 months). Also like mentioned in "The doctor's wife" (in my opinion one of the best eps of the reboot). The tardis brings him where he needs to go not where he wants to be. It was 10 months between his last and this visit but then Rory's father's life more or less got better(he took up traveling a lot).
Although Amy's remark could foreshade the death of both her and Rory seeing as the main enemy are suppose to be weeping angels. Those only kill you on the spot if they need to talk to the other people around them.
What I am hoping for is that Amy and Rory get touched by a weeping angel get warped back in time and the doctor can not find them. That would be a nice and fitting end for these companions.
