Symmetry Laboratory lies in the middle of a pitch Black Island called the Charcoal Crater.
The sole inhabitant is a man called Professor Hue, a reclusive man whose experiments run rampant all over the Crater.
The player's are first called to Symmetry Laboratory, after hearing reports of people being kidnapped and taken there in the middle of the night. No-One has ever returned their and every few days in the middle of the night, villagers claim they have seen flashes of Colour, radiating from the Island.
The Laboratory acts as the first raid dungeon in the game, the player has to solve puzzles while fighting Hue's creations...upon gaining entrance to Hue's room. A lot of the raid is based on teaching the player’s the effects of elements in the game.
Pink and Red oppose each other. Yellow and Black oppose each other. Green and Orange oppose each other. Blue opposes all.
Upon reaching the central chamber, the party encounters Professor Hue who spills all and explains that his creations are actually attempts to create the missing Pigments, from the people he has kidnapped, by draining their colour they have lost any humanity they had and turned into monsters.
Hue shows no remorse, as he believes he is doing the world a favour.
His room is quite special in that he is surrounded by test tubes of the colours: Pink, Yellow, Black, Green, Orange, and Red. After a set period of time, a test tube will break open and a 'Shade' will appear.
Shade of Pink: Fuchsia
Shade of Pink: Coral
Shade of Pink: Amaranth
Shade of Yellow: Cream
Shade of Yellow: Amber
Shade of Yellow: Sunflower
Shade of Black: Olive
Shade of Black: Onyx
Shade of Black: Dahlia
Shade of Green: Lime
Shade of Green: Alchemilla
Shade of Green: Emerald
Shade of Orange: Tangerine
Shade of Orange: Daisy
Shade of Orange: Topaz
Shade of Red: Crimson
Shade of Red: Rose
Shade of Red: Ruby
So a unique mechanic during this part of the fight is, if an opposing colour party member stands near a test tube while it is breaking, they will seal the Shade inside.
Colour Shades, are spell casters of their element.
Flower Shades, are healers…so make sure they are eliminated fast.
Gem Shades, are AoE damagers with high defence.
As the fight goes on Hue realizes that is the blood spilt by himself and the party that is awakening the Shades. He sacrifices himself and the Shades around him to reveal the final boss of this dungeon.
Hue and 1 -2 Shades = Hue of Blue: Prophet
Hue and 3-4 Shades = Hue of Blue: Monarch
Hue and 5-6 Shades = Hue of Blue: Tyrant
Seeing as Blue opposes all Colours, members should run towards the test tube their colour originally came out of to power them up.
Upon defeating Hue, he laughs as he fades away, telling the party that once they find out who the Artist is…they will wish that his Experiments were a success.
HUGE wall of text, I know ...but thanks for reading ...if anyone does!
