at least it is a bit easier for you to buy/get it >.< I really need to find a hobby that is easy for me to buy. Also i think there won't be many other people posting here (except tangy(not that i mind)). Well atm my only merchandise is that boxset (takes about 2 weeks for the dvd's of the special eps and season 5 to arrive). I did find a website that sold this : It also sold a plush portal turret(both are talking plush). Didn't order it yet since i ordered for 40 euro merchandise and had to pay 30 euro for shipping O.O (might go for it in 2 weeks or so). The website of the bbc has some fun stuff to buy. So when i buy season 6 (and prob torchwood season 1) I will look at some merchandise as well. That dalek you can ride in is really cool, though takes the fear out of the daleks though en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_exhibitions <- also looks like if i ever get to GB before 2017 i should at least go there

I've been to the Longleat one, sadly it was before I was a fan (I was maybe about 8 or 9?). I remember the Dalek voice changer, that was fun xD I may have also been to the one at the Exploratory in Bristol, since I went there all the time when I was little, and it was during the 1990s.
Where's that Dalek plush from?

thinkgeek.com sells those (also a lot of portal merchandise <3 )
The problem is that shipping is really expensive (though i most likely will buy something once from that website(i want those 2 plush)). I mean what can be more fun then a plush dalek saying "exterminate" <3
Some things i just can not resist.
Yeah as a fan things like that will be more fun. I should just go like "screw it" and just go >.>

the bbc website is kind of ok with delivery costs so that is not a problem(it charges per item if i read correctly(around 2 pounds per item, so as long as i do not order many items at once i am fine)).
If toys'r'us has something interesting we can probably work something out. The dutch website doesn't stock doctor who stuff and the british version doesn't ship outside GB.
What i do not really understand is the dislike of Amy Pond. Lot of people i hear complain about her not listening to the doctor. I just finished the 2 seasons with Rose and it is not like she ever listens. Though is about time they are switching companions. Curious to see how they will work it out (since Moffat isn't that keeping track of the lore he creates anyway). Also we shouldn't forget the series is more or less aimed at kids. They do not really care if something does or doesn't fit with previous seasons/eps.
Still I prefer Donna as companion but Smith as doctor.

Donna is my favourite companion, they didnt need to make her beautiful or a love interest which was really nice, I do like Amy though too ...must be obviously because I'm a redhead.
But dunno why people really hate on her :S I think she would be a crap character without Rory though ..they count as one companion really xD

I like all the companions, they all have their good and bad points. But to be honest, most of the 'bad' points could also be good - headstrong! Martha doesn't get enough recognition. She is clever. I love Donna for her attitude. Amy because I love the Amy/Eleven combo, and Rose because of Rose/Ten. Not so much Rose/Nine but then I don't think the Ninth Doctor really worked. Oswin looks interesting! If she has the same personality as in Asylum of the Daleks, she'll be a proper match for the Doctor =)

I think it was an interesting idea to bring back Sarah Jane. I love the school reunion eps (Anthony Head is really creepy). It is interesting to hear what happens to companions/assistants he left behind.
I agree on the fact that Martha doesn't get enough recognition. I think it has to do with in my opinion is one of the weaker series. The master is an interesting villain (and John Simm is acting great) but a 3 eps ending makes it the longest continues storyline from the reboot. Also the fact in what creature the doctor more or less changes when he gets artificially aged is a bit ... well weird and unconvincing.

I tell you what was creepy.
Seeing the guy who played the Demon Headmaster (a series that TERRIFIED me as a child) in charge of the Cybermen. Eek!

Never seen that on tv (have looked up a bit on youtube when you mentioned it before and it looks rather creepy specially the eyes). But then i "grew up" (i used that loosely since i was around 14 when that series was on tv) with "Are you afraid of the dark". A great horror series aimed at teens. A part of me wants this to get broadcasted again, although if they do they prob dub it >.<

That sounds familiar... I love Doctor Who for spotting actors from other things xD
Did you watch Goosebumps? =P

Think i have seen one or two eps of that.
Well since my knowledge of british actors is limited i only know when it is very obvious or when i know another series from that actor.
Like Kylie Minoque (very famous) and Clive Swift (since I know "keeping up Appearances") from "Voyage of the damned". Or Timothy Dalton in "The end of time"
Didn't even really notice rory's farther was the same actor that played Arthur Weasley until you pointed it out in the other topic >.<
